WSH COORDINATOR – SINGAPORE

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Coordinator to join our construction team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining workplace safety, conducting site inspections, and ensuring compliance with MOM and WSH regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Ensure all supervisors and workers follow approved safe work procedures and workplace safety requirements.
2. Assist the WSH Officer in organising monthly Safety Committee meetings and preparing safety reports.
3. Conduct daily site safety inspections to identify potential hazards and unsafe working conditions.
4. Monitor workers to ensure proper safety procedures and preventive measures are followed.
5. Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, checklists and relevant documentation.
6. Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers and workers to improve workplace safety standards.
7. Ensure daily safety checklists are completed correctly and properly recorded.
8. Conduct weekly toolbox meetings and safety briefings for workers.
9. Monitor site housekeeping and ensure a clean and safe working environment.
10. Report safety violations, accidents, near misses and unsafe practices to management.
11. Ensure compliance with applicable MOM regulations and Workplace Safety and Health requirements.
12. Perform other safety-related duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

Requirements & Qualifications

1. Possess an Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) or other relevant qualification accepted for the position.
2. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Singapore’s building and construction industry.
3. Good knowledge of MOM regulations and construction site safety requirements.
4. Experience in conducting site safety inspections, toolbox meetings and preparing safety reports.
5. Good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
6. Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with site personnel.
7. Proactive, responsible and committed to maintaining high safety standards.
8. Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced construction environment.
