WELDER – SINGAPORE

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Welder to join our team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing welding, metal fabrication and repair work according to technical drawings and project requirements while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Perform MIG, TIG, ARC and Stick welding according to job requirements.
2. Read and understand technical drawings, blueprints and welding specifications.
3. Prepare metal materials by cutting, grinding, cleaning and aligning parts before welding.
4. Operate welding machines, cutting tools and other workshop equipment safely.
5. Inspect completed welds to ensure proper quality, strength and accuracy.
6. Identify welding defects and carry out necessary repairs or corrections.
7. Conduct daily checks and basic maintenance of welding equipment.
8. Follow all workplace safety procedures and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
9. Work closely with supervisors, fitters and other team members to complete assigned tasks.
10. Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
11. Keep accurate records of welding work, inspections and equipment usage.
12. Report equipment problems, welding defects and safety concerns to supervisors.
13. Complete assigned welding tasks within project deadlines.
14. Perform other welding and fabrication duties as assigned by management.

Requirements & Qualifications

1. Minimum 3–5 years of relevant welding experience in construction, manufacturing, fabrication or shipyard industries.
2. Experience in MIG, TIG, ARC or Stick welding.
3. Ability to read and understand welding drawings and technical specifications.
4. Good knowledge of welding techniques, metal fabrication and material preparation.
5. Relevant 3G, 4G or 6G welding certification will be an advantage.
6. Able to operate welding machines, grinders and cutting equipment safely.
7. Ability to identify welding defects and maintain good workmanship.
8. Good understanding of workplace safety regulations and procedures.
9. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Hardworking, responsible and committed to quality and safety.
