LIFTING SUPERVISOR – SINGAPORE

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Lifting Supervisor to oversee and coordinate lifting operations at construction and project sites in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all lifting activities are carried out safely, efficiently and in compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Supervise and coordinate daily lifting and rigging operations at construction and project sites.
2. Ensure all lifting activities follow approved lifting plans, risk assessments, method statements and safe work procedures.
3. Conduct safety briefings for crane operators, riggers, signalmen and other workers before lifting operations begin.
4. Ensure suitable cranes, lifting equipment and accessories are selected and used correctly.
5. Inspect lifting equipment, including slings, shackles, hooks and lifting beams, before use.
6. Ensure loads are properly secured, balanced and within the safe working load limits of the equipment.
7. Coordinate with crane operators, riggers and signalmen to ensure safe lifting, moving and positioning of materials.
8. Establish and maintain safe lifting zones and restricted areas to prevent unauthorised access.
9. Monitor lifting operations and stop work immediately if unsafe conditions or practices are identified.
10. Ensure proper communication among all workers involved in lifting activities.
11. Maintain accurate lifting records, inspection checklists and safety documentation.
12. Report unsafe conditions, equipment defects, accidents and near misses to the relevant site personnel.
13. Ensure compliance with applicable MOM regulations and WSH requirements.
14. Perform other lifting-related duties assigned by site management.

Requirements & Qualifications

1. Possess a valid Lifting Supervisor Safety Course certificate recognised for the relevant worksite requirements in Singapore.
2. Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction lifting operations.
3. Good knowledge of cranes, lifting equipment, rigging methods and safe lifting procedures.
4. Able to understand and follow lifting plans, risk assessments and method statements.
5. Strong knowledge of workplace safety regulations and lifting operation requirements.
6. Good communication, leadership and teamwork skills.
7. Able to supervise crane operators, riggers and signalmen effectively.
8. Responsible, safety-conscious and able to work under pressure.
